Course overview
Business
Continuity Management (BCM) has become increasingly important as
organisations realise that any unscheduled disruptions or major event can
have serious long term consequences to its operations.
The BCM
workshop is designed to provide learning outcomes relating to the
fundamentals of BCM including key components, stages, roles and
responsibilities in working together as a team under stress.
Who should attend
This workshop
provides both awareness and refresher training for management and key staff
involved in managing an unscheduled disruption. Risk managers, compliance
managers, auditors, staff involved in business continuity planning and
people responsible for supporting business continuity activities will also
benefit.
Duration
One day.
Course handouts, templates and case studies included. A certificate of
attainment is issued to each participant upon successful completion.
Participants
can claim up to 6 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) time.

Workshop
Leader
David Martin
has extensive experience in business continuity, crisis management, disaster
recovery and emergency risk management programs with leading ASX listed
corporations, government departments, local government, financial service
providers and small to medium size business. This has involved leading,
co-ordinating and writing BCM plans, implementation support, one-on-one and
group training, facilitating workshops and full scale testing and
reporting. David is a Member of RMIA, a Fellow of AIM and holds a degree in
Aeronautical Engineering.
